Queensland Art Competition

As part of Child Protection Week in Queensland, our team held a virtual art competition where children, young people and their families could send in their work, have fun being creative and express themselves through their artwork.

We had 48 entries from over 5 categories from across Queensland, with everything from dance, lantern making, painting, music and drawing. Lots of young people also shared their stories which were at times heartfelt, raw and beautiful. It was really hard for our judges to make their decisions because we had such amazing and diverse pieces submitted. Congratulations to all our winners and thank you to everyone for sharing your beautiful artworks!

Special mention to our Comp Winner, Mitchell – aged 7. He sent in this amazing piece, with this gorgeous backstory:

“It has taken him a lot of hard work to get to the stage of drawing a picture but to then ask for it to be entered into a competition is huge growth.”

Amazing job Mitchell, and ALL of our incredible entrants! You can take a look through the gallery below to see some more of the artwork done by our talented clubCREATE members.
