CREATE Foundation is a national not-for-profit organisation providing programs and support to children and young people in out-of-home care.

National Office Administrator - Sydney

  • 24 hours per week in the CBD (flexible re days and hours)

Reporting to the Manager of Human Resources, this role is multi-faceted and is key to the smooth running of our National Office.  Whilst the core functions of this role are already established our people management style is to recognise individuals’ strengths and skills and create opportunities for talents to be utilised. As a guide your responsibilities will include:

  • Recruitment co-ordination including the preparation and distribution of job packs, posting advertisements, correspondence etc
  • Co-ordinating the new starter process
  • Making travel and accomodation bookings for all staff nationally
  • Co-ordination of on and off site meetings and minute taking
  • Greeting visitors, email correspondence, internal teleconference line bookings
  • Maintaining petty cash

To succeed in the role you will need:

  • To be a stickler for detail
  • Strong computer skills (MS Office) and design flair to create new templates, standard documents etc
  • To be innovative when it comes to streamlining admin systems and processes
  • Highly developed time management skills to allow you to juggle a busy workload and meet multiple deadlines
  • Enthusiasm and energy
  • A commitment to quality service delivery

State Coordinator – ACT

We currently have a vacancy for an experienced, organised and energetic professional to coordinate all aspects of our Canberra office.  This is a pivotal role for our ACT presence that provides the opportunity to advocate for change and truly make a difference in the lives of children and young people in care across the state.

The successful applicant will have strong communication, advocacy leadership and financial management skills, as well as the ability to work closely with children and young people and key stakeholders within the Out of Home Care sector.

Salary is negotiable, depending on skills and experience (based on the Community Services Award, ACT plus superannuation and generous salary sacrificing benefit).

Project Officer – CREATE Your Future Program

12 month contract position

We currently have an exciting opportunity in our ACT office for an experienced training facilitator to deliver our innovative new program – CREATE Your Future. This program is a holistic life-skills program assisting young people with the challenge of transitioning from the care system to independence.

The role is full time until July, 2011 (ongoing employment is dependent upon funding).  Some weekend and after hours work will be required.

The successful applicant will have strong training/facilitation skills, be energetic, task oriented and motivated by the opportunity to really make a difference in the lives of young people.

Salary is negotiable, depending on skills and experience (based on the Social and Community Services (ACT) Award).
