About the CREATE SA Team
Kareen PillarPosition: State Coordinator I am so excited about returning home to SA, to join the fantastic Create team as the new State Coordinator, after so many years away working in Queensland. I am looking forward to catching up with old friends and workers in the care sector and working on some great projects with young people. One of the many projects is ‘What’s the Plan?’ a program CREATE Foundation have put together to help 15 to 18 year olds to be more prepared when they move out of care and into independence. The scary thing is that around 65% of young people in care don’t have one! We need your opinions and comments in order to bring about change!!! “Any nation that does not care for and protect all of its children does not deserve to be called a nation” – Nelson Mandela |

Bethany StewartPosition: Community Facilitator I run the Young People’s program in South Australia. This involves running Young Consultant’s Training, producing the State Newsletter and helping out at State events and programs. I work with the State Youth Advisory delegates and recently travelled to Sydney for the National Youth Advisory Committee Summit. |

You can hang out with other young people, develop skills in presentation and public speaking and learn all about the Care system. Young Consultants training may lead to opportunities to do some occasional paid work with CREATE in through representation at conferences, consultations, forums and events and providing training support.
